Part Work, Part Play in ATL

(Caitlin) My best friend, Karly, is a traveling pathologist moving every 13 weeks. Her current position is in Atlanta, so when Ryan told me he needed to go to Atlanta for a work event, I immediately bought our plane tickets!

We had such an amazing time with AirBnB in the Hamptons last winter, we decided to try it again. We didn't have the best experience, and probably won't do it again in the states, but the view was great!

I could sum up our entire 5 days in Atlanta pretty fast: we posed in our new styleNmotion clothing and played with Instagram stories and filters.

Exhibit A:

After unpacking (and posing), we grabbed lunch at Grindhouse Burger's and traipsed around downtown. We had drinks at FoxTrot with a gorgeous back patio and fun cocktails.

Dinner at Barcelona's was a highlight of the trip! Delicious tapas with great service. We continued our night with rooftop drinks at Six Feet Under and ended the night at Ormsby's.

I haven't been to that many places in one night since college! And of course Instagram filters were in full effect.

The next morning was slow moving but we made it to brunch at Einstein's and then headed to The World of Coca Cola. Karly had to have her picture with the polar bear!

Tons of fun history and tasting lots of different flavors! That night we went to dinner at The Lawrence and sat outside. We had the best weather and all three courses were delicious!

While we enjoyed the weekend with Karly, Monday came and we had to get back to the grind. Ryan found an adorable Cafe around the corner. A latte and egg sandwich is the perfect way to start the day - especially with fresh avocado!

Karly picked us up after a few hours of working and took us to Marlow's for lunch and then to CNN Headquarters for a studio tour. The tour was awesome and would totally recommend it. Sadly, no pictures allowed.

That night Ryan had part 1 of his event, so it was girls night! We headed to Henry's for wine, tapas, and nonstop talking!

On our last day, we headed back to our little coffee shop around the corner and then to Facebook's offices to get some work done. Each office is so different yet feels the same. I love seeing them all over the world!

Karly and I grabbed a quick lunch at Public School before she headed back to work that night. She was super excited to see microscopes when we walked in that matched her tattoo.

Ryan had part 2 of his event, so I had the night to myself! After 5 days of nonstop catching up, Karly left me on the couch looking like a hot mess!

It was so great to catch up with my BFF of 10 years and explore a new city, all while Ryan was working!

Until next time!
