(Ryan) After a week in the Bahamas with Caitlin's parents, we hopped off the plane and drove north to meet my parents in Napa for a long weekend.
We stayed at the Wydown Hotel and it was incredible. The rooms were huge, right in the heart of downtown.
We started the trip the only way we know how: brunch! After yelping, we saw that the highest rated brunch at Archetype was directly across the street. Delicious.
We were able to snag a seat at the bar, but definitely recommend reservations.
After wandering around downtown and catching up in the room, we thought we might as well eat again.
We did happy hour and dinner at Goose & Gander.
The following day we took a stroll down the main drag to the Culinary Institute of America. My parents had been there all week for a conference and said we had to check it out.
All I know is that it made me realize how many new kitchen supplies I need!
Followed by some family bonding over Jon Oliver.
Our last day, we went hiking through the Petrified Forest.
We had perfect weather and could see for miles.
For our last dinner, we went to Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen. And of course Cait couldn't miss out on a Stella & Dot photoshoot.
On our way out of town, we stopped at Bouchon for lunch. Fantastic experience with fresh baked bread, amazing service, and heavenly dessert.
All in all, super relaxing and great to catch up with my parents. Thanks Mom & Dad for another amazing adventure. Until next time.
